Friends Village offers community living rooted in purpose, belonging and choice. Blending Quaker values and active aging, we promote connection and care for one another. Our residents live well, engaged with the wider world and confident they will have support should they need it. Located on two campuses, Friends Village provides independent living and personal care in peaceful settings embedded in residential neighborhoods. Our Paxson Campus is in the heart of Newtown Borough, close to shops, dining and local events. Our Styer Campus, on Lower Dolington Road, boasts raised-bed gardens and walking paths for resident enjoyment. The full calendar of resident-informed programming features lectures, wellness classes, discussion groups and cultural events to promote residents’ intellectual, physical and social well-being. If needed, Friends Village provides our residents with flexible, affordable support in their own apartments through its NeighborCare program. By using our long-tenured and dedicated staff, it is a home care service without the onerous minimum hours or uncertain staffing of agencies. And if care needs increase further, personal care is available in our historic Paxson Hall. What truly sets Friends Village apart is the warm sense of community. While residents remain connected outside of our walls, our small size and intentional approach ensure that each resident is known and know that they genuinely belong – they thrive, make new friends and live well. Route 152 (Limekiln Pike) in Horsham Township, and Route 63 (Welsh Road) in Lower Moreland Township, Montgomery County, will be closed and detoured next week for resurfacing, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced Thursday.The weather-dependent work schedule is as follows: work schedule, which is weather dependent is:<ul><li>Monday, October 26, and Tuesday, October 27, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Route 152 (Limekiln Pike) will be closed between Route 463 (Horsham Road) and Chestnut Lane in Horsham Township, for milling operations. Traffic will be detoured over Route 463 (Horsham Road) and Chestnut Lane</li><li>Thursday, October 29, and Friday, October 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Route 63 (Welsh Road) will be closed between Valley Road and Washington Lane in Lower Moreland Township, for paving operations. Traffic will be detoured over Valley Road, Terwood Road and Washington Lane.</li></ul>Local access will be maintained up to the construction zones. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these areas.

Welcome to Jenkintown’s 34th Annual Sunset 5K Run. Enjoy our 
beautiful neighborhoods, and celebrate afterwards on our town square.
Are you ready to run the Summit? This challenging tree lined 5k 
course winds it’s way through the borough of Jenkintown without crossing
 Old York Rd. One of the largest evening 5K runs around. Come on out 
and join us! Live Music, food and prizes for all age groups.
Run Benefits : The Kiwanis Foundation of Jenkintown.
Kids Dash is for ages 6 and under, and no registration is required. All children will receive a prize.
Open Team Registration: Teams of 4 are encourage to participate, but you can have more on your team and are encouraged to do so.
The run will be held, rain or shine.
Starting Line:
The race 
starts and ends on Leedom St by the Town Square. The Kids Dash starts 
at 6:35PM, Runners start at 7:00PM. We are doing corral starts this 
year.The corrals will be as follow: Under 7 minutes, 7-9minutes, 
9-11minutes, and Over 11 minutes.
Registration Fees:
 Early Registration: $30 (1/1-1/31) Pre- Registration: $35 (2/1- 4/14) Late registration: $40 (4/15-5/24) Team Early Registration: $27 per person (1/2-1/31) must have a minimum of 4 people per team. Team Pre- Registration: $32 per person (2/1-4/14)- must have a minimum of 4 people per team. Team Late registration: $37 per person (4/15-5/24)- must have a minimum of 4 people per team. “Day of Race” Registration, $40 (online from 5/25-6/2 at 12AM) Child- 10 and under, $20 Early Registration (online from 1/1-1/31) Child-10 and under, $25 Registration (2/1-5/24) Child -10 and under “Day of Race” Registration, $25 (online from 5/25-6/2) Kids Dash 6 and under, free (no registration required) No “Day of Race” Team Registration Allowed Teams: top four times count

All participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt while supplies last!
For those who sign up online by 5/24, you may pick up your race 
packet at Jenkintown Running Co, 416 Old York Rd, during business hours 
between May 30- June 1. For those who sign up online on or after 
5/25: On June 2nd, race day, you may pick up your packet at our 
pre-registration check-in table starting at 5:00pm.
