Despite a complete game from Ross Goodman on the mound, the Huntingdon Valley American Legion team suffered its first loss of the season, 3-1 at the hands of Horsham in extra innings.
Ryan Kelly came through with a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning for the go-ahead RBIs for Horsham.
Goodman stuck out three batters for LM while Zach Krim struck out five while scattering four hits to pick up the win for Horsham.

"Well you cant expect to win every game but this one is hard to swallow, my boys feel that every game is there's and if it doesn't go there way they aren't happy," coach Evan Horn said. “Goodman takes the ball and throws a gem like that and let it go to waste ... that stinks.
"We all have the same goal here as a team and that is to do what ever it takes to win games,” Horn added. “These kids give me all they have and that’s all I can ask for. Goodman gave me everything plus a bag of chips and that’s ok but it would have been even better with the win."

Horsham started the scoring in the 3rd inning when Benji Abercrombie knocked in Anthony Mumenthaler. Huntingdon Valley tied it with its only run of the game in the bottom of third when Matthew Lawlor scored on a wild pitch tying the game at 1-1.
Huntingdon Valley looks to get back in the win column with a doubleheader on Saturday at Warminster.
