The Huntingdon Valley Athletic Association's U14 Freedom travel soccer team won Region 1 of the President's Cup. The team traveled to Pittsburgh and represented HVAA at the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer state event. Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer is an event that encompasses 12 states. More than 160 teams, both boys and girls from ages U12 to U17 have been competing since the end of March. Under the coaching of Jose Gomez, this is the first time that HVAA has qualified for Regionals and the first team to win Regionals. The team will be going to the National Championships in Greenville, South Carolina July 9th - 13th. HVAA Freedom is one of four teams that are competing for the National Title.
