HVAA U9 Girls Soccer

This weekend started the new season for travel soccer at HVAA.  The U9 girls, team name Phoenix,  had a great weekend.  Saturday the Phoenix played Langhorne.  The team may have been a little intimidated by the beautiful and very active center.  Langhorne had multiple soccer and baseball fields and a very active concession stand area.  If they were intimidated, it didn't last long.  The Phoenix won 6-2.  Demmi Fox had 4 goals with assists from her team mates.   Morgan Pennisi celebrated her birthday with two goals of her own.  Nice way to celebrate being 8 years old.
On Sunday, the girls played Cheltenham at home.  They played an inspiring game.  The girls were down 0-2 at halftime and didn't let that bother them.  During the second half, Sofia O'Brien got a goal and Demmi Fox tied it all up.  Emma Kupper and Madison Sahl did an excellent job covering the net.  The game ended in a tie, showing that this team of Phoenixs are ready to rise to any challenge.
A special shout out to the U10 girls for beating Hunter today at home, Albidale field.
