Our Paxson Campus is in the heart of Newtown Borough, close to shops, dining and local events. Our Styer Campus, on Lower Dolington Road, boasts raised-bed gardens and walking paths for resident enjoyment. The full calendar of resident-informed programming features lectures, wellness classes, discussion groups and cultural events to promote residents’ intellectual, physical and social well-being. If needed, Friends Village provides our residents with flexible, affordable support in their own apartments through its NeighborCare program. By using our long-tenured and dedicated staff, it is a home care service without the onerous minimum hours or uncertain staffing of agencies. And if care needs increase further, personal care is available in our historic Paxson Hall. What truly sets Friends Village apart is the warm sense of community. The Lower Moreland varsity baseball team dropped to 2-4 on the season after suffering a 10-5 loss to Springfield Township on Saturday. The game was called in the fifth inning after rain started to drench the field. The Lions were held to just three hits despite plating five runs in the Bicentential League clash. Callan Palmer, Jake Madnick and Matt Hyman each recorded a hit apiece. Madnick and Hyman drove in a run each for Lower Moreland. Palmer, Jess Goldstein and Frank Gleason each had a steal.
