Located on two campuses, Friends Village provides independent living and personal care in peaceful settings embedded in residential neighborhoods. Our Paxson Campus is in the heart of Newtown Borough, close to shops, dining and local events. Our Styer Campus, on Lower Dolington Road, boasts raised-bed gardens and walking paths for resident enjoyment. The full calendar of resident-informed programming features lectures, wellness classes, discussion groups and cultural events to promote residents’ intellectual, physical and social well-being. If needed, Friends Village provides our residents with flexible, affordable support in their own apartments through its NeighborCare program. By using our long-tenured and dedicated staff, it is a home care service without the onerous minimum hours or uncertain staffing of agencies. And if care needs increase further, personal care is available in our historic Paxson Hall. What truly sets Friends Village apart is the warm sense of community. While residents remain connected outside of our walls, our small size and intentional approach ensure that each resident is known and know that they genuinely belong – they thrive, make new friends and live well. William Miles has been named the new principal at <a href="http://www.lmtsd.org/site/default.aspx?PageType=3&amp;DomainID=1&amp;ModuleInstanceID=1101&amp;ViewID=047E6BE3-6D87-4130-8424-D8E4E9ED6C2A&amp;RenderLoc=0&amp;FlexDataID=19764&amp;PageID=1" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Lower Moreland High School</a> after being suggested unanimously by the final interview panel. The panel included Board President Dr. Murray Cohen, two students, the LMTEA co-presidents, teachers, administrators, and the High School PTA co-leaders. Miles will succeed Julien Drennan beginning June 29th.Miles currently serves at the assistant principal at Central Bucks High School. In addition to an assistant principle role for four years at Hatboro-Horsham, Miles has also spent 20 years in the Archdiocese as an English teacher and principal. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and English from LaSalle University. He went on to receive a Master's degree in English from Temple University and a Master's in Educational Leadership from St. Joseph's University. He has a Superintendent's Letter of Eligibility from Arcadia University.
