The full calendar of resident-informed programming features lectures, wellness classes, discussion groups and cultural events to promote residents’ intellectual, physical and social well-being. If needed, Friends Village provides our residents with flexible, affordable support in their own apartments through its NeighborCare program. In the past, Hurricanes Sandy (2012) and Irene (2011), along with 2013's Tropical Storm Andrea, have significantly affected southeastern Pennsylvania. We've already seen tropical storms Ana, Bill and Claudette in the early 2015 hurricane season.What's next?Since 1953, the World Meteorological Organization has maintained a list of hurricane names for the Atlantic, Eastern North Pacific and Central North Pacific.In the Atlantic, there are six lists of names that rotate every six years.
