Collegeville Man Charged After 13-Mile Police Chase Ends In Crash

A Collegeville man was one of two wanted fugitives arrested following a 13-mile police chase in Chester County, police said.

COLLEGEVILLE, PA — A Collegeville man was arrested in Chester County Wednesday after allegedly leading police on a chase that ended in a crash, according to court records and police.

Michael Vincent Marusco, 37, of Collegeville, was arrested following the chase and was charged with 22 counts of various crimes.

Also arrested was Jennifer Lee Buce, 39, of Broomall, who faces 28 counts of various charges. The pair, who were were in the vehicle together, were previously wanted for burglary charges.

A Westtown resident called police at around 12:12 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12 about a suspicious white man knocking on the door. When video surveillance at the home was reviewed, it showed that individual approached the front door and used his shirt to check the front door knob.

The person looked at the mounted video camera and quickly left the home.

Detectives reviewed the video supplied by the homeowner and confirmed that the white Kia involved in the pursuit was in fact the vehicle at the home and the man in the car was Marusco, police said.

Police saw the pair in a Kia and tried to pull them over in East Whiteland Township, but Buce allegedly backed up into a police vehicle during the stop and drove off, leading police on a 13-mile chase .

It ultimately ended in Thornbury Township with a crash into a Honda. The outlet reports the Honda's driver was not hurt.

Buce and Marusco were taken into custody following the crash.

The pair were both held on $250,000 bail each, court records show.

They are slated for preliminary hearings on June 19, court records show.
