Suspect Arrested In Stabbing Death Of Montco Man: DA

A suspect has been arrested and charged with first degree murder after a man was found dying in an alley in Norristown in April.

NORRISTOWN, PA -- A man has been arrested in the stabbing death of a 43-year-old man in Norristown on April 19, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said.

Luis Daniel Martinez Perez, 22, has been arrested and charged with first and second degree murder in the death of Christopher Thomas, according to the DA.

Thomas was found at about 12:17 a.m. on April 19 lying in the street on Jamison Alley in Norristown.

He was taken to Einstein Hospital and pronounced dead shortly thereafter, the DA said.

An autopsy confirmed he died from multiple stab wounds, according to the DA.

Martinez was arraigned on April 22, and a preliminary hearing has been set for May 5.
