U.S. Marshals Capture Fugitive From South Carolina In Montgomery Co.

The man had been on the run for weeks, police said.

UPPER MERION, PA — U.S. Marshals tracked down and captured a fugitive from South Carolina in Montgomery County recently, authorities announced.

The capture occurred back on Oct. 27 at around 7:30 a.m. on the 400 block of Flinthill Road, which is in the Swedeland section of Upper Merion Township.

The suspect, who was not identified by police, was wanted for a burglary in Charleston, South Carolina and had been on the run "for some time," authorities said.

Police received a tip he was hiding out in a n apartment in King of Prussia, and police eventually tracked him to a home on Flinthill Road. Police said he tried to hide in a bedroom in the back of the house but was arrested shortly thereafter without incident.

The man was booked at Montgomery County Correctional Facility before being extradited back to South Carolina.
