Bank Robber Got Money With Note In Lower Southampton

Police say the bank robber, who struck on Wednesday, appears to be the same man who previously robbed two banks in Philadelphia.

LOWER SOUTHAMPTON, PA — Police in Lower Southampton are asking for help identifying the man who robbed a bank there with a demand note on Wednesday.

At about 1 p.m., police were called to the Citizens Bank inside the Acme in the 100 block of E. Street Road in Feasterville. Employees said a man walked in with a demand note implying he had a weapon.

The robber never showed a weapon and no one in the bank saw one, police said. He ran away with an undisclosed amount of money.

Lower Southampton Police say the man appears to be the same person who previously robbed two banks in Philadelphia.
