Bristol Road To Close For A Week For Construction
PennDOT said the Upper Southampton Municipal Authority will perform utility construction on the Lower Southampton road starting Aug. 31.
LOWER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A road project is expected to begin on Aug. 31 that will close Bristol Road, PennDOT said.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said Thursday that the Upper Southampton Municipal Authority will perform utility construction on Bristol Road.

- Monday, Aug. 31, through Friday, Sept. 4, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Bristol Road will be closed and detoured between Buck Road and Bustleton Pike. During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Buck Road, Bridgetown Pike, and Bustleton Pike.
Local access will be maintained. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area or through the detour route because backups and delays may occur.
All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.

The Upper Southampton Municipal Authority will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
