Brownsville Road Closing For PECO Utility Work
PennDOT said drivers will be detoured on the Lower Southampton Township road through the end of July.
LOWER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Two road projects are underway in the township this week.
PennDOT said that sinkhole remediation has begun on northbound Route 532 (Bustleton Pike).
Drivers are advised of the following travel restriction:

- Through Friday, an all-day lane closure will be in place on northbound Route 532 (Bustleton Pike) between Ruth Street and Route 213 (Bridgetown Pike).
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays may occur.
All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.

Meanwhile, PennDOT said that PECO Energy is scheduled to perform utility construction on Brownsville Road in Lower Southampton Township, beginning on Monday.
Weather permitting, drivers are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Monday, April 6, through Friday, July 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Brownsville Road will be closed and detoured weekdays between Creek Road and Creek Road.
- During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Bristol Road, Route 213 (Bridgetown Pike/Maple Avenue), and Old Lincoln Highway.
