Fire officials did not provide any more information about the accident.

Esposito said the business closed for the rest of the day Saturday and was also closed Sunday.

"We do not know when we will be reopening because there are some damages to the restaurant that need to be fixed before we reopen," Esposito said.

The restaurant, which serves authentic Italian cuisine, opened a year ago.

"We want to thank all of you for the prayers and the support," Esposito said. "Thank God, nobody got injured. The driver of the car is fine, people on the sidewalk are fine, and our staff is fine. The accident happened when there were no clients in the restaurant. Unfortunately, we got bad damage in the dining room so we need to be closed until further notice."
