Counterfeit Money Used In Lower Southampton: Police

Since the last warning from Newtown Twp PD, at least two additional incidents of counterfeit money have been reported in Bucks County.

LOWER SOUTHAMPTON, PA — Police in Lower Southampton are looking for a man and woman they say passed counterfeit bills at local grocery stores. It's the most recent of several counterfeit money incidents recently in Bucks County.

On Friday and Saturday, Lower Southampton Police investigated reports of counterfeit currency being passed at the Acme and Giant food stores in Feasterville. The two incidents are believed to have been committed by the same two people, police said.

According to police, a man and a woman, whose photographs they released on Monday, passed phony $10 and $20 bills.

Last week, police in Newtown Township released a statement warning the public that counterfeit money was circulating in the area.
