Det. Christopher Jones Foundation Awards 2014 Scholarships

After a successful year of fundraising, The Detective Christopher Jones Foundation was pleased to distribute their annual scholarship awards to three Bucks County students this month.

Neshaminy High School Senior, Tayler Ruggero, was awarded the criminal justice scholarship in the amount of $8,000.  Board members Suzanne Jones, Scott Molle, and Casey Rogers presented her with the scholarship at a ceremony at the high school on May 23rd, 2014.

Jasmin Tharakan and Jessica Vadaketh, also from Neshaminy High School, were awarded community service scholarships at Senior Awards Night on May 28th, $1250.00 and $750.00, respectively.

It is the purpose of The Detective Christopher Jones Foundation to continue the legacy of a man who was truly dedicated to his country and community. The basis by which Christopher Jones lived his life included citizenship, patriotism, loyalty, integrity and honor.  These attributes were evident in the applications of the three scholarship winners and it is the hope of the foundation that this money will help develop another devoted community servant like Detective Jones.

DCJF would like to thank it’s volunteers and supporters for making these awards possible.
