Electric Bike Stolen After Ride To Rite Aid For Shopping: Police

Lower Southampton Township Police seek suspect in Thursday night swipe of blue and orange Rad Power Mission e-bike.

LOWER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —An electric bike rode to the Rite Aid for a shopping trip has been stolen.

The owner of an electric bike stopped in at the Rite Aid store on Brownsville Road at 6:30 p.m. Thursday to do some shopping, the Lower Southampton Township Police Department reported.

Police said the bicycle was placed in the vestibule area while the owner went inside and was stolen within minutes.

"Lower Southampton Township does not have a bicycle sharing program," police said in its press release.

Police are seeking a white male who was wearing white sneakers and a white hoodie. The suspect was spotted on video surveillance riding out of the parking lot onto southbound Brownsville Road.

The bicycle is described as a blue and orange Rad Power Mission e-bike and is being ridden by someone that probably doesn't know much about it, police said.
