Feasterville Man Charged With Rape Of Child

The Lower Southampton Township Police Department said that Cory M. Jones faces rape and assault charges. Bail was set at $1 million.

LOWER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —A Feasterville man has been charged with the rape of a child, police said.

Cory M. Jones, 36, of Feasterville was arrested and charged by the Lower Southampton Township Police Department on Wednesday after police said detectives received a ChildLine report which indicated a sexual assault of a child.

Following an investigation by detectives, Children and Youth, and the Bucks County District Attorney's Office, charges were brought against Jones.

Jones was charged with the rape of a child, aggravated indecent assault of a child (three counts), endangering the welfare of children, indecent assault of a child (two counts) and the corruption of minors.

Police did not provide further details about the incident, the age of the child, or when the crime took place.

Jones was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Daniel Baranoski and sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.

Bail was set at $1 million with 10 percent.
