An annual Flea Market and an American Flag disposal ceremony will be major attractions at the Playwicki Farm on Flag Day, Saturday, June 14. The public is invited to both events free of charge. The Flea Market will feature some 60 vendors and will begin at 8 a.m. and run until 1 p.m. There will be thousands of items offered for sale including, children's and adult clothing, crafts, toys and games, baby items, antiques, novelties and more. Light refreshments also will be offered for sale. The event raises funds for the Playwicki Farm Foundation which is responsible for the care, maintenance and preservation of the historic 110-acre farm. Then beginning at 6 p.m., the Lower Southampton Fire Department will join with local Boy Scouts for an American Flag disposal ceremony which includes burning of old American flags and the burial of their ashes.
