Jaws Of Life Frees Motorist In Lower Southampton Twp. Crash
Lower Southampton Township fire crews handled the Street Road crash just after a house fire Sunday afternoon.

LOWER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —Fire crews used the Jaws of Life to free a victim of an accident at the intersection of Street Road and Bustleton Pike Sunday afternoon, just after they returned from working a house fire.
The Lower Southampton Township Fire Department was dispatched to the Street Road intersection after a report of a man trapped in his car.
The fire chief and crews arrived to find the victim in his car. Crews used the Jaws of Life to cut the passenger door off and free the man.

The Feasterville Fire Company, Trevose Fire Company Station 4/84, and Southampton Fire Company No. 1 assisted on the scene.
The Tri-Hampton Rescue Squad transported the man to the hospital. The extent of the injuries was not reported.

The Lower Southampton Fire Police assisted the Lower Southampton Police Department with traffic control.
Meanwhile, earlier Sunday afternoon, fire crews were dispatched to a report of a house fire.
Rescue 6 arrived and stretched a hose line inside the house and found a fire in the attic. Quint 6 assisted with roof ventilation and backing up the hose team. Chief 6 arrived and set up command. Special Service 6 arrived and assisted the other crews.
The fire was put under control fast with minimal damage to the house.
The Lower Southampton Township Fire Marshal Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
The Southampton Fire Company No. 1, Trevose Fire Company Station 4/84, Northampton Township Fire Department, Parkland Fire Company, and Penndel Volunteer Fire Company #1, Station 8 assisted.
The Tri-Hampton Rescue Squad dealt with a medical emergency for one firefighter due to the heat. He was treated and released and is doing fine, fire officials said.
