Man Charged In Assault Of Wawa Worker In Lower Southampton Twp.
The assault took place at the Rosewood Avenue Wawa after the Trevose man got into a verbal dispute with an employee.

LOWER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —The Lower Southampton Township Police Department has charged a man with an assault on a Wawa employee in early November.
Charles T. McGroarty Jr., 35, of Trevose, has been charged with one count of simple assault, one count of disorderly conduct, and one count of public drunkenness.
A court date will be scheduled in the near future regarding this matter, police said.

Lower Southampton Township Police said that at 2:40 a.m. on Nov. 4, a man entered the Wawa at 676 Rosewood Ave. in Trevose and got into a verbal dispute with an employee.
The man then took off his sweatshirt, went behind the deli counter, and assaulted the employee, police said.

Upon reviewing the store video surveillance footage, it was observed that there were several customers in the store who witnessed the assault.
Lower Southampton Township Police thanked those who provided Crimewatch tips during the investigation.
