Man Sought Sex With Minor In Lower Southampton: Police

LOWER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —A 21-year-old Reading man has been charged with numerous sexual assault charges after trying to arrange a meeting with a juvenile, authorities said.

Following an ongoing investigation, Lower Southampton Township Police Detectives arrested Nathan E. Echevarria, 21, of Reading, PA on Tuesday and charged him with involuntary deviate sexual assault, statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, unlawful contact with minors, corruption of minors, criminal use of a communication facility, and indecent assault.

During the investigation, it was learned that Echevarria arranged to meet with and engage in sexual contact with a juvenile.

With the assistance of the Berks County Sheriff’s Department, Echevarria was taken into custody without incident.

He was processed and video arraigned where bail was set at $750,000. He was remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility to await a court date.
