Red Truck Used As Distraction In Lower Southampton Theft: Police
A man and woman got inside a home in the township's Oakford section and stole some jewelry Thursday, police said. See the truck below.
LOWER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —It was used as a distraction.
The Lower Southampton Township Police Department said a red Ford pickup truck was used in a distraction burglary in the township's Oakford section on Thursday.
Police said that an Indian or Hispanic man and woman, about 30 years old, approached the home's occupant and asked about seal coating the driveway.

When they were denied, they asked if the woman, who is pregnant, could use the bathroom.
The two were allowed inside the home.

About an hour later, the homeowner discovered multiple pieces of jewelry missing, police said.
The bumper and grille are both painted red. It appears that there is no bed liner or tailgate on the truck, and the rear of the truck contains seal coating equipment.
Anyone who lives in the Oakford section should check their home security systems for any video that may assist with the investigation.
