Suspect In Bike-Riding Beer And Beef Jerky Robbery Named

Police say three men rode their bicycles into the foyer of the store, then used a motorized scooter to steal alcohol and beef jerky.

FEASTERVILLE, PA — Lower Southampton Police have identified a suspect in the case of three men who used a motorized scooter to steal beer and beef jerky from a local Acme store.

Michael Eric Gleaton is believed to be one of the men who robbed the store in Feasterville last Tuesday, police said Wednesday morning. They said Gleaton, 32, has no fixed address.

He is described as a black male, standing about 6'2 and weighing about 185 pounds. A police photos shows him with a teardrop tattoo and sporting a beard and surveillance images of the robbery show him wearing a red hooded jacket, police say.

In the robbery, police say three men rode their bicycles into the foyer of the store, then used a motorized scooter to steal alcohol and beef jerky.

According to surveillance video, the men concealed alcoholic beverages and other items inside backpacks and in their pants before making their way out of the store's front door. When they were confronted by employees, the men jumped onto their bicycles and rode away, police said.
