Woman Left Bag With $100K In Heroin At Bucks Co. School: Police

Breaking: Police have made an arrest in connection with a suspicious backpack of $100K in heroin found last month at a Bucks County school.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — An arrest has been made in connection with the suspicious discovery of a backpack holding $100,000 worth of heroin that was found last month at a Bucks County school.

Police announced Thursday that 26-year-old Natasha Willis has been arrested on drug charges after she admitted to accidentally placing the bag outside of her car behind Cecilia Snyder Middle School in Bensalem. School district employees reported the discovery of the backpack to police on the morning of Dec. 20.

The backpack contained four “bricks” of heroin that had been packaged for sale, police said. There were approximately 10,000 dosage units of heroin with a street value of $100,000, police said.

"Through subsequent investigation and a review of video surveillance at Cecilia Snyder Middle School it was learned that a tan Toyota Corolla with New Jersey registration was in the area where the schoolbag was recovered," police said.

On Jan. 10, a traffic stop on the target vehicle was conducted in Bensalem Township. At that time Willis, a Bensalem resident, was arrested and admitted to possessing and accidentally placing the bag outside of her vehicle behind the school, police said.

She has been charged with possession with intent to deliver narcotics and related offenses. She was arraigned by District Justice Falcone and bail was set at 10 percent of $750,000. Willis was turned over to PA Constables and transported to the Bucks County prison.

"It should be noted that this heroin was not intended for the school and at no time were students placed in danger due to the quick action of school district personnel and police," police said.
