The 2026 Philadelphia RV Show Kicks Off in Oaks

GREATER PHILADELPHIA—The 2026 Philadelphia RV Show kicked off Friday morning at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, marking the start of this year's camping season for many Pennsylvanians.

RV Supershows, the event's organizers, had planned to open on Thursday, Feb. 26, but weather earlier in the week delayed some vendors’ arrival, so they canceled the first day of the show.

Despite the delay, vendors arrived on Friday eager to reconvene with clients after a long winter.

"[The RV show] is a lot of fun for us because it's our spring home opener. Our clients are ready to go camping, as many campgrounds open on March 1," Kristen Turnbach, sales manager at General RV Center in West Chester, said. "People might be ready to upgrade, or maybe they're just here to see what's new. We look forward to it."

Though the RV show is a staple for many seasoned RVers, vendors encourage those who are curious about camping but haven't yet taken the leap to check out what's in store.

"It's easy to feel overwhelmed, but I would say go into the RV and pretend you're camping," Alexa Fretz, marketing manager and RV storage manager at Fretz RV in Souderton, said. "I always tell clients that time is limited, and the longer you're waiting, the less time you're camping and making memories. I encourage them to take the leap now because you don't want to regret it later."

For visitors who want to try RVing but aren't ready to buy, rentals can be a great alternative, said Steve Miceli, founder and CEO of Carefree RV in Exton.

"The best place to start is probably a Class C," Miceli said. "They're easy to drive, easy to operate and a lot of fun."

RV classifications categorize motorized recreational vehicles into three main types based on their chassis, size and amenities: Class A, B and C.

Several campgrounds also set up booths at the show, including Blue Rocks Family Campground. Brothers and co-owners Zack and Jed Wood staffed the booth, where they displayed a 1972 Serro Scotty Sportsman camper.

"We love all things camping, especially vintage camping. Almost 15 years ago, we purchased this Scotty and began restoring it to bring to shows," Zack Wood said. "It's been such a great tool for bringing people together. We never realized how many people would come up to our booth with such great camping memories, which could start the conversation, 'Have you ever heard of Blue Rocks?'"

Aside from RV sales and upgrades, the exhibition features an array of food and merchandise vendors.

"We're RVers ourselves, so we enjoy swapping stories about camping experiences and campgrounds," Penny Derr of Chocolate Moonshine Co. said as she offered patrons samples of handmade fudge.

Beyond vendors, the show offers a schedule of attractions included in the ticket price. Offerings include seminars such as "Tips To Make Your RV Trip More Enjoyable" and "RV Lifestyle & Repair." There's even an opportunity to "Meet Spider-Man" for younger patrons.

The Philadelphia RV Show will run as follows: Friday, Feb. 27, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 28, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Sunday, March 1, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Visitors can purchase tickets online for $10 here or $15 cash at the gate. Children 16 and under are free.
