Main Line

Homes sales in the Main Line increased to 1,324 homes sold in the first six months of 2015, up 6.2 percent from 1,247 homes sold in the first six months of 2014. Median home prices decreased 2.5 percent to $390,000 in the first six months of 2015, compared to the median sale price of the first six months of 2014, which stood at $400,000.

The average number of days a home remained on the market increased from 63 days in the first six months of 2014 to 67 days in the first six months of 2015.

Malvern

Property sales in Malvern during the first quarter of 2015 decreased 30.4 percent from previous year.

According to a Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach HomExpert Market Report, there were 16 properties that closed in the first half, compared with 23 from the year before. In 2013 that number was 14.

The median price of the properties that sold in the first six months increased 0.2 percent over the same period in 2014, from $212,000 to $212,500. In 2013, the median price was $272,500. The average days on the market decreased by 57.7 percent from 78 to 33 days between 2014 and 2015.
