Main Line Real Estate First Nine Months Data Report

Main Line real estate in the first nine months of 2014 decreased according to theBerkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach HomExpert Market Report. The number of homes sold in the first nine months of 2014 was 2,100 homes sold, down 10.9 percent from 2,357 homes sold in the first nine months of 2013. Median home prices increased 5.2 percent to $405,000 in the first nine months of 2014, compared to the median sale price of the first nine months of 2013, which stood at $385,000.

The average number of days a home remained on the market decreased from 66 days in the first nine months of 2013 to 58 days in the first nine months of 2014.

Overall, Easttown Township saw the highest median home price on the main line at $628,250, while Lower Merion saw the highest number of homes sold with 612.
