Celebrating spring with a tree planting for Charlestown Arbor Day Event

Charlestown and PHS are hosting an Arbor Day Celebration at the Charlestown Park on April 25. Perfect morning activity for all ages

Charlestown and the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society are celebrating the wonders of trees this spring in support of the Plant One Million campaign by planting 50 trees in Charlestown Park on April 25. Plant One Million aims to plant million trees in 3 states and 13 counties- Plant One Million website. The goal is to increase the tree canopy cover in the tri-state area.

Tree planting will be on Saturday, April 25, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Charlestown Township Park, Charlestown. All ages are welcome, registration is encouraged. Volunteers are encouraged to bring water and work gloves and to wear boots or sneakers.
