Counterfeit $100 Bills Passed At Lancaster Ave Acme: Cops
A Philly man and Colombian national was arrested for passing counterfeit $100 bills at the Tredyffrin Acme, according to police.

TREDYFFRIN, PA -- The Tredyffrin Twp. Police Department is investigating the passing of multiple $100 bills at the local Acme Market, they announced Thursday.
The incidents occurred at the Acme located on the 700 block of Lancaster Avenue in Devon on Tuesday, May 17th and Wednesday, May 18th, police said.
Hernan Rivera-Vallecilla, 58, of the 400 block of W. Roosevelt Blvd., in Philadelphia has been arrested in connection to the incidents.

Rivera-Vallecilla is a Colombian national, authorities said.
The U.S. Secret Service conducted an interview with him and I.C.E./HSI were both involved for future deportation proceedings, police said.

One bill’s serial number was replicated, SN# DC 11333382L. Other known SN’s include: LD 92099000I, LE 30266239B, LF 90328050C, LA 24424987 B, LF 53947769I and AB 19728315K, according to authorities.
Most of the counterfeits were new style, Series 2009 bills with good paper and color properties.
The metal band running through the middle of the bills became exposed through the face of the bills. Secret Service said there have been numerous similar incidents throughout in the Philadelphia area.
A preliminary hearing for Rivera-Vallecilla is set for May 25 at 9 a.m.
Police are asking the public to always check larger denomination bills when received at public places.
