Delco Times: Willistown Woman Gets Three Years' Probation for Theft Charges
Carol Weir, 62, was charged with stealing thousands of dollars from her aunt and the ATM machine of a bank where she worked.
The Delaware County Daily Times is reporting that Carol Weir, 62, of Willistown Township, accepted a plea deal in the face of multiple charges, including theft and forgery. The deal calls includes three years of probation for Weir, who stole from her workplace, Malvern Federal Savings Bank, and the provision that she can never work in a bank again.
According to the Delco Times article:
In addition to taking more than $43,000 from the branch’s ATM machine by replacing $20 bills with $1 bills when she replenished it, Weir also deposited $40,871 from the account of her late aunt’s estate into a Malvern federal account belonging to her daughter, and then forged withdrawals from that account.
