East Whiteland To Discuss Lancaster Avenue Electronic Billboards

East Whiteland Township residents are joining growing calls to stop erecting electronic billboards in Main Line municipalities.

EAST WHITELAND, PA — Electronic billboards are proposed to be installed in East Whiteland Township.

The township is hosting meetings to discuss the billboards, and residents are gearing up to offer strong opposition.

Three electronics billboards are being proposed at, 104 -106 Lancaster Ave.; 323 E. Lancaster Ave.; and 32 Lancaster Ave.

E. Whiteland Outdoor, LLC, of Malvern, is seeking conditional use approval in to install the billboards.

The township will discuss the billboards at its meeting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15.

Each sign is double-sided and stands at 45 feet high with a square footage on each side of 300 feet.

East Whiteland residents on social media voiced their concerns with erecting electronic billboards in the township, joining numerous others in Haverford, Marple, and Lower Merion townships who are fighting against billboards in those municipalities.

The East Whiteland Township Municipal Building is located at 209 Conestoga Road in Frazer.
