East Whiteland Fire Department Warns Against Drunk Driving

"Even though we are always ready, we would much prefer to continue doing this at a salvage yard, and not on the highway."

EAST WHITELAND, PA - The East Whiteland Volunteer Fire Company put on a public service announcement on its website Tuesday urging residents not to drink and drive on New Years Eve:

Every Monday is training night at the East Whiteland Fire Station. We train for a wide variety of operations to keep our skills at the highest level, including vehicle extrication. Stabilizing a vehicle, popping doors open, cutting the roof off, and how to safely and carefully move injured occupants out of the car and into the ambulance. Even though we are always ready, we would much prefer to continue doing this at a salvage yard, and not on the highway. You can help us by not drinking and driving. Celebrate the new year with joy and excitement, but please do so responsibly. Thank you and have a wonderful 2016.
