East Whiteland Fire Flies Flag At Half Mast

East Whiteland Fire Company flew their flag at half mast Monday in honor of officers killed in Dallas and Baton Rouge.

East Whiteland, PA -- The East Whiteland Fire Company flew their flag at half mast Monday in honor of officers killed in Dallas and Baton Rouge.

"The station flag is at half staff honoring our brothers in blue, senselessly murdered in the line of duty in both Texas and Louisana. May their sacrifice to their communities never be forgotten. We thank our law enforcement brothers and sisters everywhere for keeping us all safe and for doing a thankless job to keep and preserve order in this great nation," they said in a Facebook post.

Three officers were killed in an ambush in Baton Rouge on Sunday. Tensions between police and citizens had been running high in the area following a police-involved shooting death of a citizen nearly two weeks ago, and police had received "credible" threats against officers since.
