Summer Arts at Malvern Prep begins with “Summer Safari,” held June 18 – 29, from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Students sample the musical and visual arts through a variety of mediums, including photography, guitar, sculpture and music recording. All supplies are provided. The Catwalk Theatre program will be held July 9-20, from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Campers will spend time developing basic theatre skills through games, team building activities, performance, music, lighting, sound and set design. Participants use these skills to develop, produce and perform a musical on the final day of camp. This year’s production will be “Schoolhouse Rock LIVE!” made famous by the Saturday morning cartoon programming of the ’80s and ’90s, featuring songs like “Conjunction Junction,” “I’m Just a Bill,” and “Interjections.” The final show will be performed at 1:00 p.m. on the Duffy Center stage and is open to parents and family members.
