Get Out: Creek Clean-Up and 5K Run

May 5-8, 2011, edition.

Not sure what to do this weekend?  Take a break from the night scene and enjoy one of the many local community events: this week’s calendar has plenty of volunteer opportunities, open houses, and art shows to keep you busy.  



  • Where/When: , May 7th, 9:00am - 11:30am.

  • Where/When: 1685 Art School Road, Chester Springs, May 6, 11:00am - 5:00pm.

    Why Go: Come check out works by 170+ artists and enjoy a free happy hour!

    Price: Free.


  • Where/When: , May 7, 9:00am - 12:00pm.

    Why Go: Enjoy a scenic run in support of a good cause.

    Price: $30 adults, $15 kids under 12.
  • Malvern Public Safety Day and Open House

    Where/When: , May 7, 12:00pm - 4:00pm.

    Why Go: Live demonstrations of emergency response, including car and house fires, will be held. Get to know local Fire Company volunteers and enjoy free food and drinks. Read more about the event .

  • Free Admission to Longwood Gardens and Tyler Arboretum

    Where/When: Longwood Gardens and Tyler Arboretum, May 6th, 10:30am - 2:00pm.

    Why Go: American Public Gardens Association will feature special Mothers Day events and activities.
