Grab & Go Planner: 'Karate Kid' in the Park

This week, take the whole family to enjoy a movie in the park, or paint pottery at The Painted Plate in West Chester. The Eagleview summer concert series is back with another outdoor music session on tuesday, and  the Brandywine River Museum is offering free admission on Sunday.

Movies in the Park: Karate Kid

• Where/When: Caln Municipal Building, 253 Municipal Drive, Thorndale, August 12, 7:30 - 9pm.
• Why Go: Caln Township offers fun, family-friendly movie viewing events throughout the summer. Free lawn chairs are available, and movies begin at dusk.
• Price: Free.

Family Night at the Painted Plate

• Where/When: , August 13, 6:00pm - 9:00pm.
• Why Go: The Painted Plate serves free pizza while you enjoy an evening of family arts and crafts. Pick out a piece of pottery from the collection, paint it with supplies from the art store, and your work will be fired within a week!

Free Admission at the Brandywine River Museum

• Where/When: Brandywine River Museum, August 14, 9:30am - noon. 
• Why Go:  The Brandywine River Museum offers free admission for the whole family on Sunday mornings. The museum offers a variety of exhibits, including works by Howard Pyle and Andrew Wyeth. 
• Price: Free.

 Eagleview Summer Concert Series: Bobby Long and Brian Flanigan

• Where/When: Eagleview Town, 540 Wellington Square, Exton, August 16, 7:00pm - 9:00pm.
• Why Go: This event is part of the 11th annual Summer Concerts on the Square series. This week’s artist is Bobby Long with special guest Brian Flanagan. (That's Bobby Long performing in the YouTube video above.)
