Grab & Go Planner: Festivals, Concerts, and Crafts

July 14 - July 20 edition.

Looking for some fun and reasonably-priced events that the whole family can enjoy?  This week, take the kids out to a local fire company fair or a free concert at the park in Downingtown.  Art and music workshops for children are also available at the Malvern Library and at the Brandywine River Museum.

Malvern Fire Company Fair

  • Where/When: Malvern Monument Grounds, Monument Avenue, July 13 - July 16, 6:00pm - 12:00pm.
  • Why Go:  Join the local fire company for this annual family-firendly fair.  The fair offers plenty of activities for the kids, and there will be fireworks Friday night at 9:30pm. $2.00 off coupons are available at all local businesses.

  • Why Go:  This summer, Downingtown is holding a free monthly concert series in Kerr Park.  This month’s artists are Tim McGlone and The Turn, a pop/rock band from Philadelphia.

Advanced Explorer Morning

  • Where/When: Brandywine River Museum, July 19, 10:00am - 12:30pm.
  • Why Go:  Advanced Explorer Mornings are art workshops designed for children ages 10 to 14. This week’s theme is “Focus on Animals.”
