'Heavy Fire' Engulfs Chester County Home Overnight
There were reports of someone trapped inside.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA -- Heavy fire engulfed a home in Phoenixville overnight into early Thursday morning, the Phoenixville Fire Department said.
Crews arrived on the scene of the fire on the 100 block of James Street at about 12:30 a.m., officials said.
Flames were concentrated in the front of the home. There were also reports of a person possibly trapped inside the home.

Fire crews created supply and hand lines upon arrival, and set ladders up against the building.
After primary and secondary searches, the home was found to be unoccupied, officials said. The resident was later confirmed to be away from the home at the time of the blaze.

The fire was brought under control after about two hours of work, according to the fire department.
Phoenixville, Valley Forge, Black Rock, and Liberty all responded to the scene, with teams from Kimberton, Berwyn, Trappe, and West End arriving on the scene for assistance later.
The scene was cleared by about 4 a.m., officials said.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
