Hotel Evacuated During Fire Tuesday Night In East Whiteland

East Whiteland, PA -- Crews responded to a fire Tuesday night at a hotel in East Whiteland Township that led to an evacuation, according to officials.

The Extended Stay America Hotel on 8 East Swedesford Road in East Whiteland Township caught fire at 8:50 p.m., official said.

The source of the blaze was determined to be in the elevator room, and firefighters moved quickly to bring the hotel's guests to safety and to extinguish the blaze.

Swedesford Road was closed at Route 29.

East Whiteland Fire Company was joined on the scene by Malvern, Paoli, and Berwyn units, in addition to police.
