Malvern Police Blotter: Variety of Thefts
The following arrest information was supplied by the Malvern Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Theft... A woman on the 1600 block of Raintree Lane reported getting a phone call on July 7 saying that her relative needed money. The woman sent nearly $1,000 via Western Union, but later found out the money went to someone in Canada.
Theft... Police received a report that, some time between July 1 and 7, a metal ramp from a vehicle parked at a business on the unit block of Pennsylvania Avenue. The ramp was attached to rear of a construction company’s truck and is valued at $1,000.
Theft... on July 7, police received a report that 6 gray landscaping slates, valued at $60 each, had been stolen from the outside of a residence on the 200 block of West King Street.

DUI... On July 7, an officer on patrol noticed a black, 2003 Ford Taurus turned onto Bridge Street without stopping, swerved over the double yellow line, and make another turn without signalling or stopping. The driver, David Hammond, 70, of Malvern, failed field sobriety tests and was taken to the hospital for blood tests.
Criminal Trespass... On July 8, a Wawa employee called police because a woman who had been banned from the store had returned. The woman said she had never received written notification of the ban. Police found her in a nearby business and charged her with criminal trespass.
