Paoli Fire Company Names 2017 Firefighter Of The Year

The fire company also announced its total calls in 2017 and named the member who participated in the most calls and training events.

PAOLI, PA – The Paoli Fire Company announced its 2017 Firefighter of the Year and named the member who responded to the most calls and participated in the most training events in 2017 on Monday, Jan. 29, as well as provided its total call count from 2017.

The fire company said Rob Robie is the 2017 Firefighter of the Year.

"Firefighter Robie’s commitment to training and helping with special events for the year 2017 earned Firefighter Robie this top honor," the fire company said on Facebook.

Additionally, Chief Engineer Don Baker earned the most "points" in 2017. Members earn points by participating in training events and responding to calls.

"Congratulations to Chief Engineer Don Baker," the fire company said.

In 2017, the fire company responded to a total of 1,761 calls.

There were 540 fire calls and 1,221 EMS calls in the last year.

"Responding to emergencies requires a lot of dedication and commitment from our volunteers and career personnel," the fire company said.
