Ramp Closing In East Whiteland, West Whiteland Twps.

PennDOT announced ramp closures in East Whiteland and West Whiteland townships that will be in place overnight Thursday and Friday this week.

PennDOT said the ramp from eastbound U.S. Route 30/Exton Bypass to northbound U.S. Route 202 is scheduled to close from 10 p.m. Thursday, June 22 to 5 a.,. Friday, June 23. The closures will also be in place from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday.

During the construction, drivers will be detoured to the Business U.S. 30 exit, right on eastbound Business U.S. 30, and right onto the ramp to northbound U.S. 202.

Drivers heading east on route 30 should expect backups and slow moving traffic when approaching the ramp to northbound route 202, PennDOT said.

The ramp closure will allow the contractor to complete installation of shielding on the underside of the northbound route 202 bridge over Amtrak and the adjacent ramp, and begin demolition of half the bridge’s concrete deck and parapets, PennDOT said.
