Route 202 South Lane Closing Nightly In East Whiteland: PennDOT

The right lane on a stretch of U.S. Route 202 southbound will close nightly this week as crews work on a road rehab project, PennDOT said.

EAST WHITELAND, PA – PennDOT said a stretch of Southbound U.S. Route 202 in East Whitleand will see a closure in its right lane nightly this week to accommodate road rehab work.

According to PennDOT, the lane will be closed between the Route 401 and U.S. 30/Exton Bypass interchanges.

Closures will be in place between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. the following morning beginning Monday, Dec. 18 and ending Friday, Dec. 22 at 5 a.m.

Crews will be working on barrier removal and line painting operations, PennDOT said.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur.

All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The work is part of a $26.4 million project to rehabilitate the northbound and southbound U.S. 202 bridges over Amtrak and the adjacent U.S. 30 ramp, and to remove and replace deteriorated concrete pavement on the U.S. 202 ramps to and from the U.S. 30/Exton Bypass.
