Tree Down On King Road In East Whiteland

Strong winds brought down a large tree in East Whiteland Township closing the road for the time being, according to fire officials.
East Whiteland Fire Company said a tree fell on King Road, just east of Sproul Road/state Route 352.
The tree is resting on electrical wires and responders are waiting for crews to remove the felled tree.

Detours are in place. The eastbound detour is Madeline Drive to Summit Road and the westbound detour is Tremont Drive to Sproul Road, the fire company said.
