U.S. 202 Getting Restrictions Next Week In East, West Whiteland​

Crews will working overnight on bridge rehab over Amtrak lines.

PennDOT said U.S. 202 in East Whiteland and West Whiteland townships next week will have lane closures.

Form 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday, March 26, through Thursday, March 30, lane closures are scheduled on northbound and southbound U.S. 202 between the U.S. 30 and Boot Road interchanges

Additionally, from 8 p.m. to 10 a.m. Friday, March 31, and Saturday, April 1, closures are scheduled on northbound and southbound U.S. 202 between the U.S. 30 and Boot Road interchanges.

Motorists should plan for extra time when traveling through the construction area as slowdowns may occur, according to PennDOT.

The work schedule is weather dependent, PennDOT said.

The work is part of a $26.4 million project to complete the final phase of the U.S. 202 Section 300 improvement project, which includes the rehabilitation of two U.S. 202 bridges over Amtrak rail lines, according to PennDOT.
