Villa Maria Academy Celebrates Mission Day
The Saint Agnes Day Room serves the basic needs of the poor and immigrant families in the West Chester area.

On October 31st, the Villa Maria Academy gymnasium was transformed for Villa’s Mission Day event, raising money, food, and more to support the St. Agnes Day Room. The Saint Agnes Day Room serves the basic needs of the poor and immigrant families in the West Chester area. The Day Room provides hospitality to those in need through a large variety of programs in a caring and welcoming environment. This is an annual event, sponsored by the 8th grade in support of Villa’s mission to encourage leadership and service among all students.
Students are taught that leadership is primarily related to the power of their influence. And that Service is also a key leadership tenet, that for children, needs to be taught and modeled. The 8th graders did just that for their “Little sisters” of the school on Friday.
We want to say thank you to our 8th graders and their teachers for a fun-filled morning. And to all of our volunteers, Villa families, teachers and staff, thank you for your continued support of our events and causes.
