Work Affecting East Whiteland, West Whiteland Roads Next Week

One project will limit lanes on a ramp overnight while the other will close lanes on Boot Road during the week until early August.

Two roads in the East and West Whiteland township areas will be affected by projects next week, according to PennDOT.

PennDOT said the ramp from eastbound U.S. 30/Exton Bypass to northbound U.S. 202 will be reduced from two lanes to one overnight beginning the evening of Sunday, June 18 and ending the morning of Friday, June 23 for overhead bridge construction in both townships.

The restrictions begin at 8 p.m. and end at 5 a.m. the next day, PennDOT said.

Crews will be working on the installation of shielding on the underside of the northbound U.S. 202 bridge over Amtrak and the adjacent ramp, and begin demolition of half the bridge’s concrete deck and parapets, PennDOT said.
