5th District Race In Delco: How Each Municipality Voted

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA – Democrat Mary Gay Scanlon won her first term in Congress, defeating Republican opponent Pearl Kim in the newly-redrawn and recently vacated 5th District.

So how does that break down at the municipal level in Delaware County, which makes up most of the district?

Overall, Scanlon won 38 municipalities and Kim won 11.

Scanlon, of Swartmore, won the borough by a landslide. Kim, who is from Radnor, did not prevail in her home area, with Scanlon taking the majority of votes there.

The Democrats retook the House, securing 219 seats. Republicans retained control of the Senate.
