Alleged Hospital Shooter Arraigned in Delaware County
The 49-year-old faces charges of first- and third-degree murder, criminal homicide and reckless endangerment.

The alleged gunman from the deadly July 24 shootout at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital has been arraigned via video conference by a Delaware County judge on several felony counts, including first- and third-degree murder, according to the Associated Press.
Richard Plotts, 49, has been transferred from a Philadelphia hospital to a Delaware County prison, prompting the need to repeat the arraignment he received while in medical care, the AP reports.

Plotts has been accused of the shooting death of his caseworker Theresa Hunt and firing at his psychiatrist, Lee Silverman, who returned fire with his own gun and wounded Plotts, ending the attack.
